Monster Spectacular always is a “must see” when the big trucks visit the capital of Canada. But this time there was more on the line in Ottawa than ever before. It was to be a showdown between two champions – the defending Monster Spectacular champion, Joe Sylvester in the Readylift Bad Habit truck versus the newly crowned world freestyle champion, Jim Koehler and Avenger.
This battle had been fought before in this very same building one year ago. Last year Sylvester triumphed at Scotiabank Place by hitting massive reverser wheelies to defeat Koehler for the coveted Monster Spectacular crown.

Joey Sylvester and the Bad Habit monster truck crushed the cars for a media demo that have been setted up in front of the Scotiabank Place this afternoon.
Also, Terry Marcotte from CTV Television in Ottawa had the chance to drive the Black Stallion for a ride.Don’t miss it tonight, on CTV.

Mike “DARK” Vaters making a return at the Big O.

After missing the last fall edition of the event in Montreal, Black Stallion will get another shot at the title on April 17. This veteran competed in 12 editions of the Monster Spectacular at the Big O (2 racing victories, 8 freestyle victories).
He will not be the only masked driver to compete, as Colt Cobra driver of Snake Bite, from Colorado will be part of the competition.
